it's funny how some people are saying he has only dated light skinned black women in his long line of women, but are we forgetting that Nona Gaye is clearly brown skinned?

Hmm.

Yeah, she looks pretty brown to me. wink

There is coincidence, and there is intent, and I'm of the thought that Prince's dating lighter-skinned women was more of a coincidental thing. Now that I think of it, all my boyfriends were very dark-skinned. It's not like I said, "I'm going to date dark-skinned men ONLY - keep those yella boys away from me!" You know?

You may not have done it consciously, but it could have been a subconscious thing.

Or I could've just not given a damn about the skin color of my mates.
The ORG - the only place where you can be called a wigger, a racist and a Nazi and be banned for defending yourself. It's so hard being white nowadays...

Proud to be a NONA GAYE fan!

clapping you and I could be related because I have the same background and I could not agree with you more. When I walk down the street or at my job - people judge me as a black woman - not MIXED! I hate that shit when people say "oh she's not black she's mixed" WTF is that? We black people come in all shades - don't hate the hues.

woot! I glad somebody final exposed the truth . Thank you for telling it like it is.

Now as for prince dating/ marriage patterns, I say more power to him. I happy that he is able to find someone that understands him and put up with his shit.

I always laugh at these types of threads, because there are always so many rumors, lies and misinformation....lol...makes me shake my head in disbelief. For example, someone said...

"Vanity and Mani are not black"

I don't know about Mani, but i can tell you that Vanity is black. She said so herself."I am Black",she told Jet magazine.

in case you didn't know,Black people come in MANY different shades, light and dark.Prince being the prime example.

Idais,

For me personally I posted my opinion because it's the way I felt and I wanted to share my opinion. I also posted more than just the comment that this is a stupid ass thread. I wasn't attempting to make anyone feel lesser or dumb, but why should opinions be reserved only for people that agree with the content of this or any other thread? When anyone posts anything on an open forum they will and should receive various feedback comments, both positive and negative. Freedom of speech, as limited as it has become, still allows for varying opinions. The fact that this is a stupid thread is mine. Deal with it...or don't -it's not gonna stop me from posting my opinion.
Have a wonderful day.
biggrin

Dealt with and acknowledged Terilicious. Actually, I had ALREADY stated "to each their own". I don't think people are going to stop doing whatever they do. But the whole "I wasn't attempting to make anyone feel lesser or dumb"? I don't think that is true, especially from these words that you posted:

"Damn, class is dismissed children..."

Do what you do man, but don't try to sugarcoat your actions. Of course, say what you have to say. You don't have to agree with a thing, but if you are going to be condescending, do it. Don't make excuses for it later.
And for real, it's all good. I want you to have a wonderful day as well. You cool in my book.

I can't believe they haven't locked this thread yet. LOL
