I think P is still the most talented musician/songwriter out there today. However, no matter how creative, innovative and talented a person is, when you release a CD every year you will start to either sound repetitive, corny or like someone else. Most artist, like MJ and Madonna, release an album and wait 2 or more years before releasing another. This allows them to put more time and care into their project. P has released 1 or more albums along with producing other artists in the same year. When you add up 25 years, it begins to get a little repetitive. What do you guys think?

Prince cant help putting out so much work ...he writes songs all the time its in his blood.. Prince was born to write music be a musician Oh my god he had a lyric book wow.....like all the songs he wrote over 25 years he aint going to remember every f..... word ok jesus

I strongly disagree about waiting for two years to release an album like everyone else. Back in the day, EVERYONE released an album every year, with the exception of Michael Jackson, who released one probably five years apart.

If Prince is burning out, then it is because he has been around since 1978. If he's burnt out, he still needs to release an album every year of old stuff from the vault and then release new material when he is inspired again.

Maybe its not a lyric book, maybe it's a journal and he is writing about all the people going to see him and what he thinks of everyone.
Imagine a book on that.....

it would be like a david blaine type thing he sits there looking at everyone and then starts writing it all down what he thinks of everyone.
Few people would be biting their nails at that one though i imagine.
