I agree, her album is a pleasant listen. The music throughout is mesmerizing and moody, and her poetry is interesting and inviting.I find myself enjoying this CD alot more than I expected to.

I've never heard her album...I'm assuming I need to find this? Can you guys tell me what it sounds like musically?
I will do today what you won't, so tomorrow I can do what you can't.

I liked Ingrid.I have her cd and the "elephant box" cd single w/remixes.Pretty cool.I thought this was an underrated '90's album.I still break it out from time to time.

I love the Chavez CD - sounds so different to anything else which had Prince's involvement.

Does anybody know what she does now? Did she release any more music?

She married David Sylvian and is heavily involved in his recordings.
Go check him out.

This Is by far one of if not the best, Prince Related CD ever. It even made it to my Favorites CD Collection.
What is really funny and cool a friend of mine who was an anti Prince fan big time. I was in her car and she was playing this on her cd player. She said, "I heard this at the used CD store and bought it. Everything on here is really mellow. I like it alot. Have you ever heard it? Oh wait, you only listen to "Prince" music." After a few moments of driving I told her do you remember what Prince called his record label? "Yea...Paisley poop or something like that." made some more idle conversation about Prince when she dropped me off I said thanks for letting me know about the cd it's nice. When you get home, check out the CD and let me know who produced it. I wanna get a copy. When she got home she called me and said, "Okay you got my ass. Wow I didn't even know it was Prince related. Do you want a copy still?" I told her no. I already have it and the 2 cd maxi singles.

the Tracks -
1) Heaven Must Be Near - smooth real real nice
2) Hippy Blood - Cool intro
3) Candle Dance - ohhhhh weeee so so nice "It's Raining" cool lines "I'll take the punches that weave my strength
4) Elephant Box - Again nice nice nice. Do you noticed the background sound you hear it at :37 that is repeated through out the song, it a sound bite from classic Star trek it's the sound of the sliding doors on the Enterprise

5) Slappy Daddy - the only weak track for me but I still like it.
6) Little Mama - rules just enough singing to balance this cut. "A Dream of Hope, A Chance at Fame, All alone to Bear the Shame.
7) Jadestone - simple just a poem, the riff/sample in the back was used on several different cuts in the 90's Terrence Trent D'arby, Wendy & Lisa and even Prince
8) Wintersong - cool
9) Spiritual Song - This cut is so so nice - I usta use this on my voice mail. It got to a point that ppl would call just to hear the music.
10) Sad Puppet Dance - Yet another nice sound. "Cut the strings that Bind You to This Sad Puppet Dance"
11) Whispering Dandelions - A nice way to close the CD. The vocal delay with the slight reverb smooth.

My Only Question why did she call it May 19, 1992?

Had Madonna not stolen JUSTIFY MY LOVE
(although Ingrid couldn't have done it better)
She would have been on the Map.
I do like her CD, she just lacked the sensual edge
I like in Madonna's voice.
We all want a big hit again because
we want to relive the Hysteria & Pandemonium we experienced
when Purple Rain was Hot. Actually, he doesn't care if it happens again or not.

because she finished it on may 19, 1991. and she thought she planned to finish the next one exactly one year later. she actually told me this herself. when the CD came out, i wrote in to her management telling her how much i liked the album. she personally responded with a hand-written letter and autographed photo. very sweet and cool. i asked the same question you did, and that's what she told me.
