Snake

Mr.Christian

ALthough I love Vanity 6 more I enjoy Apollonia 6 Album better,

I just want to share a track list of the best from both of them

NastyGirl (Remix)
Drive me Wild (Remix): Love the Video!!!!
Mr.Christian (My Fav)
Wet Dream
Don't hang Up
Oh, She wa wa
Some kinda lover

Those are the best ones to me
the others are close but not as good.
We all want a big hit again because
we want to relive the Hysteria & Pandemonium we experienced
when Purple Rain was Hot. Actually, he doesn't care if it happens again or not.

I love both albums and my favorite is the Apollonia 6 album also. And, YES, my favorite song from the two albums is "Happy Birthday, Mr. Christian".
Andy is a four letter word.

I have actually made a "Vanity/Apollonia 6" cassette, with what I believe are the best of both groups. the song order :

If a girl answers
Make up
Wet dream
A million miles (I love you)
Blue limousine
Some kind of lover
Sex shooter - 12" version of course
Nasty Girl

to me, the V6 album sounds like a "female The Time" album ;
not surprising of course, since The Time is credited as the "back-up band" on that album & on stage. I think - because of this - the V6 album had more "attitude" : Vanity's, & The Time's.

additonally, the A6 album.. sounded like a "Revolution" album.
no shit - Prince & Mark & Fink & Lisa & Wendy & Bobby Z (& Sheila E) played on that album.
the music is better in some ways, maybe because it stands out more (Prince's influence)
but also, Apollonia - while very beautiful - did not have the most.. um.. "sparkling personality"..

as a song, Mr. Christian is okay. to me it has a real "spacey" & quirky sound to it.
the lyrics are rather dumb, in my opinion, but that is a nice little (slightly) "unexpected twist" at the end, the "Mr Christian & I & our son" line..
I suppose that in the "12 version of Mr Christian, the extra verse talks about how Apples & her son went to see Mr. Christian in jail..
you know the old cliché -

"18 will get you 20"
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..
