August 28, 2004 - Ed Begley Jr. presented one of five special awards to Sheila E. during the 19th Annual Imagen Awards Gala, August 26, 2004 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. Sheila was honored and awarded the Imagen Foundation's Humanitarian Award for her efforts and dedication to the community through Lil' Angel Bunny Foundation. Other honorees were Placido Domingo, Guillermo del Toro, John Leguizamo, and Fox Television Stations, Inc.. The Imagen Awards were established in 1985 to encourage and recognize the positive portrayal of Latinos in all media and to increase Latino representation at all levels of the entertainment industry.
