i keep seein copies of "ac" and "survivin in the '80s" on vinyl at this wrecka sto' here in mpls.....hell if i know where andre is. far as i know he fell off the face of the earth along with gayle chapman....

Give this address a go & you will find Gayle Chapman & maybe Andre. I know Andre produced a song for Tom Jones in the early 90's.

There's a book called "Purple Reign" with a big picture of prince, with the hair he had during the "self titled album" period. I forgot who wrote it, but anyway, I believe it said Andre left due to a dispute over money. Andre cowrote a few of the songs, and didn't receive much credit. The problem must've been pretty big, as Andre and Prince grew up together as friends

Andre Cymone recorded three solo albums in the 80s.In the early 90s,he married Jody Watley,they had a child,and got divorced.It was reported that he was gonna form a rock band with Mic Murphy(lead singer of The System) and Micki Free (formerly of Shalamar),but it never materialized.Andre recorded another solo album in the early 90s,but it remains unreleased.Don't know what he's up to now,but several years ago,he mentioned that he would love to work with Prince again.
