Prince is 46, he lost a child, Been Divorced and had a major throw down with WB.
These things changed him. I think it would change anyone. There is absoultley nothing wrong having a little God in your life. P seems more at peace with himself. And I like it. If Larry G gave Prince this gift of peace. Then I'm all for Larry G. How can you deny how awesome Sly and the Family stone was. Larry killed on that bass. Why is your Organ so small?

I don't think the man ruined Prince, but I just wish sometimes he could do some of his other songs still! Prince is always going to be Prince. You can see it in his eyes sometimes that he is about to erupt! Just my opinion... "The poets are demanding their pay..."

hank you for teaching him how sinful it is to celebrate a birthday or play musical instruments in church.
When I went to a Kingdom Hall as a youngster we sang songs to at least a 3-piece orchestra. Members that played well.....a professional saxaphonist, pianist, and violinist. The conventions had quite a large orchestra that hours and hours of rehearsals went into! I know this as a fact as I attended them. My parent was one of the professional musicians. Never heard or read that it was sinful to "play musical instruments in church". Where'd you pick-up that information? [This message was edited Sat Jul 24 8:56:03 2004 by Siquomb]

jujubeans said: Yes, thank you Larry Graham for bringing Prince into a deeper, more personal relationship with the Watchtower Society. Thank you for showing him that only the Watchtower Society is God's chosen people and anyone who rejects their message will be annihilated on judgment day. Thank you for showing him that Jesus died on a pole and not a cross and that the teachings of Christendom are the teachings of Babylon. Thank you for teaching him that it is better to let your children die then to give them blood transfusions. Thank you for teaching him how sinful it is to celebrate a birthday or play musical instruments in church. But most of all thanks for teaching him how stupid it is to read the Bible for yourself instead of letting the Watchtower Society translate it for you. Sounds like you've set him on the right path.
i was thinkin the same thing when i was readin somethin bout the witnesses..i was like how can he believe in this!! it sounded more like a cult than a religion...no offense to anyone is a witness. altho i still think p is better off than he was b4 judgin by photos i've seen and things i've read. Larry should be thanking Prince for the fact that no one will give him a second look if he was not hanging around him. true cuz until i got n2 prince i aint no who the hell larry graham was/ [This message was edited Sat Jul 24 10:11:16 2004 by Moonwalkbjrain] Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...

Larry is a very talented artist and is free to speak his mind in his music....BUT...to each his own. Don't try to convert someone, especially when they are at their most vulnerable after losing a child. Why do you think Jehovah Witnesses go door to door...to try to convert people. I tell them all the time, "I respect your religion but you need to respect mine and don't try to convert me. They don't care. In their eyes, they are right and the rest of the world is wrong. They have no tolerance. exactly! i mean do ya see jews goin door 2 door? do ya c hindus goin door 2 door? do ya c bapstists going door 2 door? ya c muslims goin door 2 door? ! and i could go on and on religion after religion. I used to hate Larry Graham. Then I realized that the only reason was because I thought he was a bad influence on Prince's music. Since I like Prince's music, I wanted more of it. That's pretty selfish. That I believe is the main reason fans didn't like Larry. Without knowing Larry or the impact he was having on Prince, we rushed to judgement. In my mind, if someone strives for happiness, who cares how they get there? Another thing.....I saw the after-show in Houston New Year's Eve 1998 and Larry was there on bass tearing it up. They jammed on about 3 or 4 Sly classics and it was great to see that. It was as if it was Sly and the Family Stone in the flesh!! Mayte was there too. She was hot. I'm rambling. I'll go now.
