Prince's Most Talented Protegee What member of the Prince camp do you think is the most talented on his/her own? The one that you think, if given the right breaks, could have given Prince a real run for his money.
I think Andre Cymone and Jesse Johnson are two of the most talented ever. Andy is a four letter word.

Everytime I see protege I just think of group. I can't think of one for just one person. "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

It depends what you call talent.
I think one of the biggest parts of talent is the songwriting. If you can't write, you are just another pop idol. I think the best albums are by Sheila, Jill Jones and The Time, but as Prince constructed the majority, I'm not sure they can count as talent. The best talent to come out of Prince's camp is Jesse Johnson and Wendy & Lisa. Real musicians playing real music, as Prince likes to put it. .

Oh, and lets not forget Jam and Lewis! .

There are too many talented ppl...and way too many UNtalented ppl..
but....I gotta say... SquirrelMeat is correct..Jam and Lewis and also... Sheila, Wendy and Lisa, Jill has a great voice...but that's about it (her first album at Paisley was great), Jesse and Andre' (was) a great producer...not sure what he's doing now though.

I think Andre Cymone and Jesse Johnson are two of the most talented ever. I'd vote for Dre or St. Paul because of their self-contained versatility as singer/songwriter/musician/producer/performers. But there'd be good arguments for a lot of the others...
