Just posting to see if there would be much interst in making a sticky post for Euro 2004 in the general discussion forum. seems like its gonna be popular this summer, and what a way to embarace the multicultural nature of this board!

That's a great idea Sermwanderer!!! nod nod nod

I for one would be really well greatful for a 'sticky' soccer Thread for the

European Championships thumbs up!. I know loads of European Org.ers that are

well up for it too!

It's only 'til JULY 4Th too, coinciding with flag American Independence day!

Now that would be a fab cross-Atlantic DOUBLE celebration for the Org! dancing jig party

Please! pray Please! pray Pleeeeease! pray

I'll eat all my green veggies at dinner time from now on as well! biggrin

wink

Agree with you Anxiety bruv nod wink

Was gonna suggest this awhile back but thought to myself

"Not many Org.ers post important sports issues on a regular basis, even though the Mods

allow us to in the G.D. Forum. Fair enough this is mainly a music site dedicated to our

lil' purple gem prince but we still do have a Pol.&Relig. Forum. Maybe there just weren't

enough sports fans here on the Org." .....until Sermwanderer's 'Euro 2004" Thread! wink

That's got to have been (even before it became a'sticky') the single most successful

sports thread in recent times for sure!.... maybe ever hmmm

biggrin

oh, i loathe sports. i don't know what any of you sports-liking people are talking about when you go off on one of your sports rambles, nor do i want to know. i hate it when people come up to me and start talking sports, AS IF I CARE. do i go up to people and start talking about my favorite bunuel movie getting released by the criterion collection? NO! i think we should have a sports forum so you alls can go talk about your jock strap topics in your own little area, and we can quit littering up the general discussion board with sports crap that steals valuable moments away from my precious and delicate attention span and cuts into my overall enjoyment experience. DON'T WE TAXPAYERS HAVE A VOICE ANYMORE???

RANT OVER!!!

See, this is exactly the kind of self-loathing, "be seen and not heard" attitude I appreciate in a sports fan. thumbs up!
