Bring back the codes?! I understand that the HTML can be a problem, but how about the [img] so that we can post pics and stuff? I miss the little pics. Why, why, wwwhhhyyy did you take them away?  Can we have the code back? How about [size]? Is it really so important to have total control over all images displayed? Any pornographic images can be deleted along with the user, right? | |

I have no idea if this is the reason that it is not enabled now, but too many people took it to extremes and posted some pretty...um...weird pictures.. |

I can understand how the misuse of the pic feature could affect that decision, but not even being able to control the size of the letters? That can be done by using the BBC code [size=?] and [/size], yet its not enabled. I was wonder why on that also. I'm just curious. It would be fun to use some smilies other than the ones available on this site. Just a thought. | |

All of that stuff can be mis-used... The size of letters isn't *That* big of a deal, but someone has used size 72 on letters before, and it makes the rest of the chat room un-viewable... We realize that we are 'limiting' some HTML abilities in the room...but the main reason that it has been done is because these abilities have been abused at some point in the past. When these things get abused, Ben, Matt and myself get all kinds of emails, orgnotes, etc...and people just get mad if something isn't done quickly etc. So, the easiest thing to do is just limit anything that can create a problem. Yes, you can delete images, and users, etc...then they get new accounts, and start over again. We do this site for fun and for free...we want it to be as "hassle free" for us as possible, and babysitting a chat room for a possibly offensive pornographic picture is just not high on our list of "fun" things to do with our "hobby". |
