I've just been snooping around the non-beta org and came up with a few ideas:

1) The pictures by the news items should all be the same size (I recommend 50x50 or 64x64) - that way it's much tidier (I'm a perfectionist, sorry)

2) Move the "Quotable Members" stuff above "Events" since some of the stuff they say is pretty damn interesting and important/valid.

Whatever though, just a few ideas.

I'd like to see a few scatter-cushions around the homepage, and maybe some flowers to freshen the place up.

While we're at it, I think we should knock through the forums into the Gallery which'll give a real feeling of space. And we could open a doorway from the Chat into the garden and let in some natural light. And it'll be great in the summertime.

yeah, i went a little crazy with the pics on the front page there for a while....

i like the ideas being thrown around here, though. who knows what ben has up his sleeve next?

on 2), I get your point BUT believe events are more important. I'm open to reasonable suggestions about how to improve the visibility of some of those member quotes, though. Maybe the most recent one should go just below the forums on the homepage? Hmm. It's tricky... there's only so much space!
