Search improvements (and events bugfix) Made a few changes to the search today.
1. The long-asked for "sort forum results in reverse chronological order"... now messages are shown most-recent first. There is a performance cost for this, but it's not terrible. Pick good search terms and everything works great. 2. The search no longer returns hits on messages in old (no longer accessible) forums. 3. The image gallery can now also be searched from the search page. 4. Fixed a minor obscure bug with search result term highlighting. I'm sure you never ran into it, so, don't worry about it 
5. Added display of total number of results found. If it's more than 100 or so, you probably need to pick better search terms!! Also-- I fixed the event stuff. Submitting new events wasn't working, and editing old events was broken too. Both are fixed now. (Only admins can edit events.) ben -- "the prince.org guy" |
