Hi, since there seems to be a bit of debate about this again, especially regarding org users reposting pics the HQ folks scanned/uploaded.

Here are the image posting guidelines (I'm making this up as I go, but until modified, consider it the "official" org policy):

- Give credit to the source of the image. In the thread, or otherwise. Primarily, the copyright owner is the one we'd like to credit, but it's nice to mention where you got the image, etc., too, if different.
- Don't steal bandwidth. If you post an image, do so from an allowed URL. Admittedly, if it's someplace that can "afford" it (i.e., a large for-profit site) it's less of an issue though.
- Don't bitch about other site's image policies here. Discuss it if you like, but keep it civil. When you run your own site you can run it any way YOU like.

And finally,

- The org will be launching our revamped image gallery very soon, and you'll be able to upload RELEVANT images to it, for the purposes of use in the org message boards. Hopefully that will make things a little easier for folks who want to post pix in org threads, too.
