Some of the pictures are very distracting and clutter the pages. Why on Earth do I have to look at some guy posting pix of himself eating macaroni? Three pix flashing constantly at the side... distracting. Perhaps there should be an approval process and some standards. Otherwise, the feature will be abused.

Areogram , if pics on side are "distracting" to you, maybe you should get checked for A.D.D.Keep postin the pics folks if gives this site "character"

The avatars definitely takes some getting used to...I pretty much agree with Aero, even though I have one myself..lol..but I made mine simple black and white, cuz all those multi-colored squares blinking and flashing can be sensory overload at times when you just wanna read the message boards...

The pictures are upon approval. I personally like the pictures I think it gives it personality. But I'm from Texas so what the heck do I know ! Much love to all of you.

Well, I'm having a hell of a time finding a picture that isn't "too big" or "corrupting." So far this is one of the only two that the site would accept, size wise. And I'm not too happy with it, so the search continues...but I like the idea of having avatars.

BTW, how long does it take to get these pics approved?

I would really appreciate it if someone would tell me where I can find some pics to download that would work on this site. I'm having so much trouble with this, almost everyone I try gives me the "too large after resizing" or "corrupt" message! ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH! :X

You mean there's already an approval process? Well, I would have rejected the flashing three pics -- it makes me gag cuz, well.... chomething about that Narc... Narci.... NarcissUh... a complicated word.

I enjoy at least a couple of pix though.

Thanks Aerogram, for posting that. I came here to post this, but saw you already did. Godawful flash/moving pics. Why, people? I don't mind the avaters, but stick with one picture. Is that so hard?

The pictures by itself are okay. The flashing things I could do without.

Here's the deal... all NEW avatars (uploaded in the past 3-4 days or so) are NOT animated/flashing/etc... they aren't allowed. However, some people (like Amaya) got theirs in very early, when we WERE allowing them. So, I haven't taken away those yet, but I *DO* feel they're annoying, and don't be surprised if I do start taking those away.
