I feel like I might miss some important/interesting piece of news because I'm looking in the wrong place ! But I guess the important stuff will be on the Home Page !? | |

Yes, the idea is to have everyone looking at the homepage primarily....that way, if there are any Prince.org announcements, etc...you will be notified of them from the homepage. Ben could make the date stand out more if people wanted it that way. |

"you told them...." Wow, I thought that Ben owned the machine, software, domain name, hand-written code - AND put in all of the time to develop this - for FREE... I could be wrong though. |

I agree that the presentation of the news in summary form, and the absence of a list which is grouped by date, makes it more difficult to 'catch up' on news since the pages were last checked. Would it not be possible to include a section in the left-hand margin (where the hot topics are featured, for example) maintaining a list of headlines posted in the last 3 - 5 days? This would make it easier for someone to catch up on all news posted since a previous visit, because the homepage might only feature summaries of the 3-5 most-recently posted items.
I wonder whether the absence of such a list might also result in further duplication of news too? We have already had a duplicate of the same news posted with only 3 days between the two postings. It is less clear to a contributor whether a piece of news has already been submitted, at least recently (although a simple search by the contributor - and the moderator as a check - should avoid this).
