This is sooooo wrong. There is no reason we should have to scrutinize the characters of a username in order to determine the poster.
It seems there are some obnoxious, wannabes out there, with no imagination or creativity of their own, are jocking the usernames of long time org.ers.
This is so very rude.
First, Wellbeyond was jocked for his username (What nerve!) and then as I am reading a thread I see a post with my name on it. Thing is ....I hadn't posted anything to the new site yet!!!
On the double take I saw that my im-poster was using a single A.
So, allow me to tell all y'all fake, wannabes that ya need to get ur own freakin' identity.
Get a life, rent yo'self a personality. Whatever it takes.

To be honest, these people stealing well known usernames are just ruining the community we have built up here. Why? Because none of us and particularly not Ben have the time to police this thoroughly and handle endless "this person stole my username" complaints all the time. So what to do? Hope that people will behave like adults and show a bit of common courtesy to one another. Is that too much to expect? Perhaps

I don't want to suggest that Ben do any more work, because we're all indebted to him, but it would be nice if long-time users could get their names back.

I took advantage of v.2 to take a new name--but only because my old name was simply the prefix to my e-mail account (bofahey1) and wasn't really a screen name.

I think it's quite lame that others who chose new names decided to "bite" off of older users. As my man Tony M would say, that is hella wack!

Well, let me tell you this, i can live my 'new' name - i may sound pissed, but really i'm not. It's just a result of the site upgrade, i know.

But like someone said before, some of us are at the Org for quite some time and their handle was their 'logo' and all of a sudden it's changed - it simply gives a weird feeling someone else is using 'your' identity, handle, name, whatever... stolen or taken by incident.

First of all, give Joey back his username JOCKER!

Second of all, you don't even know what it's been like so keep your cakehole shut for a moment and listen up!

I had to change all the monograms on my boxers from "2the9s" to "twothenines" (and now back again!); I had to reorder staionery; get new license plates; call my credit card company; and finally (and worst of all!) I had to get people to take me seriously as "twothenines" and then when they got used to it switch back again!!

So, some people may not take this seriously, but I will not rest until I have visited my wrath upon the person unfortunate enough to have decided early on the morning of February 18th (a day that will live in infamy!) to JOCK MY NAME!
