To The People Who Think This Site Is So Negative Why is it when someone says they are leaving because this site is so bad everyone assumes the will be back???What would make them want to come back if this site is so bad??

Put it this way. The people who announce their departure usually come back. The ones who don't announce it don't most of the time. I'm too tired to explain my own theories as to why. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes. | |

I have no problem with the so-called negativity. I just think most of it is not Prince related and/or utter bullshit.
The whole "it's just a forum, don't take it too seriously" argument is weak. Whether or not people take it seriously, fact remains that it's ruining the site for many people. The site should be "fun" to explore. Within a relevant discussion there's enough room for "humor", but it's no fun anymore with all this bullshit being posted. Relevant, interesting threads with interesting discussions get lost in the high volume of nonsense threads. IMO this site should be strictly Prince & associated artists. If you want to talk about something else, there's a great chatroom. If that's still not what you're looking for there are many other sites on the net where certain posts might be more appropriate. Sure, those are probably not Prince sites, but the subjects are usually not Prince related by a long shot anyway. | |

So what your saying is "so-called negativity" on this site should be directed only at Prince?

Actually you missed my point. I don't click on items like that. But I've seen people ask pretty good questions sometimes or trying to start an interesting discussion, then within minutes it's already gone from the main page "newest topics" list and halfway down the list of the 25 newest topics. At the end of the day it's most likely lost somewhere midsts the so-called humorous threads. Fact is that those kind of threads seem to bother a lot of people and I honestly cannot think of a single reason why anyone would be really bothered by a good discussion. | |
