It is extremely slow...
It is taking 3 to 4 minutes to refresh a page. And 2 hours to respond to a thread. Maybe a reboot on the weekend would help.. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

Reboot? We don't need no stinkin' reboot... see this:
12:18am up 195 days, 17:43, 2 users, load average: 17.30, 17.07, 14.28 This tells me a couple things. One, the machine has been up a long time (6 months+) , but also that it is dying under the load! a load of 17 is NOT good. (Typically, under 1 or 2 is OK...) We've been talking about getting a faster server with more RAM, but in the meantime I might need to do something more immediate (because that would probably take a couple of days of downtime to get accomplished)... not sure what I'm going to do, but I am thinking... hmmm. ben -- "the prince.org guy" |

Does anyone know if there is a low-traffic time here at the org?

where ya been..? Disappeared luv, disappeared playing around trying to sort out my own cheap free website thing (being a poor student I have no choice there) and trying to blend it with college work of which I'm behind in... oh well...  nice to see your back now though!
