boxes in your reply to a post which has a previous persons reply in it, which you are wanting to address specifically???

I usually keep a pen and paper handy to write down the quotes, so I don't have to keep scrolling up/down.

I have been losing brain cells to over exertion tryin to figure it out.

there should also be a little toolbar above where you type your posts (a series of buttons) - one of the buttons should say "Quote" - just highlight the text you want to box and then press the "Quote" button. Et voila.
