I just released a bunch of bugfixes, etc. Here's the breakdown:

• Search results are formatted more nicely
  
• # of replies, # of views now centered on thread overview columns
  
• "Oldschool" color scheme works in the chat again
  
• Grey background on the page instead of white--easier on the eyes, I hope
  
• Smaller fonts on homepage for featured item headlines, etc.
  
• Some other style cleanup stuff (lots, misc.)
  
• "Greetings" (random lyrics etc.) return! Now under the menu bar
  
• Official org date and time returns; below menu bar, on the right hand side
  
• When reading a 'featured' thread, you can navigate to previous/next feature (links at top and bottom of thread now)
  
• Minor moderator functionality changes
  
• The 'view posts by user' page is now accessible for your own posts, in a limited way.
  
• The 'mystery' orgPops (no message ones) should work now (I think)
  
• 'Ignore orgPops this session' should work now
  

That it for the moment. Still got a few issues to address before I go out of town for a few days... will try to get to them tomorrow. And hopefully the new mods will be onboard soon. I'll e-mail them sometime in the next 24 hrs with an update.

Just a few opinions:

Good things

The forums are now accessible directly through the first page.

The search function seems to be back.

The "quotable orgers" section.

The orgpop sounds fun - I haven´t tried it yet though.

The thread subscription function.

The "handy emoticons".

Bad things

The first page is too text-heavy. The old org looked a bit "cleaner" somehow and more professional.

Skipping the LSR forum is fine with me, as long as we can still post on those topics in the GD forum, using the same language, the same explicitness etc. But for some reason I don´t believe that will be the case. The new org seems to have stricter moderation in general. Correct me if I´m wrong.

A minor detail that was confusing in the previous version too: why is "music: non-prince" in the Prince related section? Sure, Prince is into music, but isn´t "music: non-prince" still as un-Prince related as it gets?

The maximum post limit.

I like it a lot especially the logo. If U needed any further graphical elements (icons..."home made") I would be pleased to help U...

i signed up for joi internet already i might even kick AOL to the curb finally.. we'll see and saw a set of classic dr who onsale i probably won't buy after all not to mention wildlife and eco-friendly causes. veeery interesting. especially the singles ad
it's a whole new dimension to the ORG and easy to read or ignore either way. i like that
