is there a way to tell how many people flooded in here the night of the grammys ? just wonderin

After the performance there were like 400 folks on the site. This is like an extra 250. It's hard to say if more people who were already members were on because of the performance or if non-members flooded in.

thanks, i just noticed on the front page some kind of record for the day there were the most visitors, wondered if that record was broken

The record so far for the most users online on here was 492 on 04/18/03!!

If I can remember rightly this was at the time the new NPGMC was launched!!

It was up in the 300+ range for Grammy night!

We almost broke the record the night of the Grammys. It was up to 480 (!). That counts logged-in, and non-logged in visitors.

It stayed above 350 for quite some time. Well, until the site basically broke
We can handle more now... I suspect it's possible to break the record, if we get the traffic again.
