Instead of everyone getting 20 orgnotes per day as standard, limit them all to 10!

Then, if anyone wants more, they request them. Simple!

I've probably sent around 2 dozen orgnotes in my entire time here. Yet I've got the same daily allowance as those who are heavy users of orgnotes.
I'd easily get by on 10 per day, even 5 per day. If all members had this lower allowance, it'd free-up resources (bandwith?, etc.) to allow some orgers to have more than the current 20. Anyone who feels the need for more could apply in a way similar to uploading a new avatar for approval. Or something.

Ben, or whoever, could then assign an extra 10 or so, depending on who's got what, how many they already have, etc, etc.

So would a person have to request the extra orgnotes daily, or would it be a # assigned to them daily and permanently?

The only problem I see with this is if a mod has to approve the extra notes daily--sometimes there isn't a mod available. I don't usually know if I'm going to need extra orgnotes till something weird happens that I need to talk to people about.

Well, we are a bit over-stretched as it is trying to keep up with moderation issues, news updates, avatar approvals, event schedules etc. So any solution require yet more human intervention would not get my vote.

Really though, there has never been a compelling case made to change the orgnote situation. No one has asked us to increase the limit. I suspect that if it was an issue and enough people asked us to up the limit, it wouldn't be a problem.
