I love the GD forum, but if you want to put your best side forward, the GD isn't it. I'd exclude it from the summary listings, and let it be the "back room."
Well said!

Yes the org gets dissed, this is no doubt true.
We are the 'project kids' of the prince sites.
More to the point, we are the AMERICANS ofthe sites.
By that i mean we catch the most heat because we
are the most active. We fight for our freedoms and
bring criminals to justice lol
We are more outspoken than the lil namby-pamby goody two shoes sites, not held to kissin fam booty ('less she fine)
We got street cred

I don't see the point of posting anywhere when you can't speak your mind (I am not including extremely abrasive or intentionally cruel posts). Come on, isn't that a complete waste of time?!

Anyone with negative comments about the org? What are they? Even if 90% of the people on here hate NEWS or any other shit that comes out, can't they be honest about that? I'm not one to usually scream "celebrate diversity!", but think about it! Does a conversation even exist when everyone "thinks" the same thing about Prince and his music?

High,

Eye agree with everything INSATIABLE says, and will continue 2 do so no matter what! This is a great conversation, isn't it... mr.green

PS does anyone think that maybe if eye start acting nicer, becoming more FAMlike, saying only +ive things about NEWS, Prince might notice me and email me 2 come live with him at the Park? pray Erm, U guys R way 2 negative here... the ORG with "or" mEaNing "gold" as its PREFIX, ONEder who said "all that gLitTers..." hmmm?

I noticed that there is a thread about the Org on HouseQuake.com (in their Other Funky Websites forum). Is that what you are talking about?

Seriously, people should read that ENTIRE thread (it's called "Is It Me Or is Prince.org out of control?") to see what LaVisH means and what we're up against. (Poor SnowDove. disbelief )

I think we CAN learn about ourselves from thinking about what others say about us. It's what makes us grow! biggrin

The Org will always be my home. Best site on the net!

...my opinion about the org is that you definitely gotta have thick skin in order to thrive here, cuz it gets pretty rowdy here most days. i saw that thread on housequake somebody started up regardin the org. thing about it is that there are several folks who have admitted that they used to be on the org but left cuz they didn't like the atmosphere or what-not. yes, some of the stuff here ain't everybody's cup of tea but if you stick n'stay long enough you will find lotsa brilliance here...all you gotta do is look around and you will find it.

You know its funny that this thread was created because I have been pondering this issue for a while now. It seems that when you discuss this issue you basically have 2 broad options to choose from: 1) do you limit [or censor] a persons right to post what they think about P`s musical direction [IE music, DVDs, NPGMC, ECT] or 2) do you only post news items and threads that are directly related to P? With that said, everyone who is a member here knows that P.org is the exact polar opposite from the NPGmusicclub website. While here at the org people are free to express their opinions and attitudes towards P & his music (and a whole variety of issues not related to P); over at NPGMC a majority of the members act as if they are brainwashed and that P is the 2nd coming of the Messiah. Your threads and posts are heavily edited by the NPGestapho; and if you don`t agree with the "collective" then your silenced. Meanwhile at the org one is pretty much free to express their opinions (note to Prince this is what freedom actually is); however the brash personalities and often conflicting points of view often lead to some very ugly arguments and disagreements.

Therefore it seems as if one has come across the proverbial rock and the hard place. I have always felt that P.org should focus more on P. and less on other worldly topics. P.org isn`t the place to discuss war issues, public opinion, the great & mighty George W, your favorite sexual position, oil prices, or blow job techniques. However I understand that the individuals that run P.org do not have the time to police each topic and each post. There are certain specific members out there that do inflame issues just to see how far they can push the limits. Personally I believe that getting rid of the GD forum, the politics & religion forum (sorry icenine), and the Prince non-music section, would be a good place to start. More importantly the remaining forums would have to be constantly policed by the web-masters of the org for threads & posts that are not directly related to Prince. Furthermore I feel that this would not ease the negativity here at the org just for the simple reason that most of us do not like the musical direction that P is taking. Since we all love him very much (yes we do); its only natural that we would feel strongly when we feel he makes a misstep. I know that I do. I don`t like the neo-religious, mightier-than-thou, attitude that Prince has these days. Furthermore I don`t like the recent music that P has been doing (TRC, bad N.E.W.S., XENOPHOBIA,). I think that P fans are frustrated these days because P is acting childish, and treating his fans very poorly in many respects. I know that there are people in this world who will never be happy regardless of what P does; but overall we the die-hard fans are highly frustrated and this is where a majority of the negativity here at the org comes from. However I would much rather spend my time here at the org instead of NPGMC. My freedom is more important to me than being brainwashed at NPGMC. My mind doesn`t need to be spoon fed.
