what the hell is this new trend?

where you dredge up a thread more than a year old and bump it?

would you rather just keep repeating them OVER AND OVER AND OVER???
Then again there's a certain historical value in it...

take for instance: REPORTING TO THE MODERATER. this is one of those perfect reasons to report something to the Mods.
let them know that you don't like having old threads revived
and perhaps they will make it where threads are only good for one week, or month, then we can hear about it forever.
PEOPLE LIKE ME got short attention spans, I may just repeat a subject over and OVER AND OVER AND OVER
i am KING BAD!!!
you are NOT...

I'm agreein with you.
at the same time, there is a lot of history in the archives
that when viewed in these time gives one a pause to reflect
on where we been, where we are, and where we gonna go.

Reviving an old thread when there is something new of value to contribute, something new and worthwhile to add to it, is just fine.

However, "bumping" an old thread merely to see it pop to the top of the page is just inconsiderate and irritating for all concerned. Worse still, some people revive ancient threads with the intention of stirring up shit, inflaming some silly petty squabble that exists between certain users.

I think it's kinda fun to look at old threads again. The ones that've been bumped which have some of my old posts on them are interesting, they remind me of what was goin' on at the time, and sometimes they even help me see things from a different (or more clear) perspective.
