Impersonating another user? Questions for moderators; I have gone through the terms, but cannot find anything explicit about it.
Is it allowed for a user to give his or her PW to another user, and then for said second user to impersonate that user, meaning not using thr account and revealing that they're somebody else, but really trying to trick people into believing it's the real user? If my explanation is blurry I apologise. Thank u, Jen

If my explanation is blurry I apologise. Paragraph 5 of the User Agreement / Terms of Service states, in relevant part, "You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account." One could interpret that to mean no sharing of passwords/accounts, but I think people could disagree on that interpretation. Ben, any thoughts? I really can't think of a good reason for people to share a prince.org account, since we'll make one available at no charge to anyone who wants one. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

This was done with permission from the user, for the purpose of impersonating them in the chat room and thereby fooling other users. Both users have separate org accounts.

To answer the question though - yes the account owner is responsible for anything written by that account. So "loaning" your account to other people is a bad idea - if they screw up it will be your account that gets deactivated, not theirs.
