People on here enjoy chatting with eachother, with or without Prince.

Unfortunately I have to agree that it could very well die a slow death, especially when all "we" seem to talk about is religious crap. I am so sick of all the talk about JW and other such religious babble. For the most part, I enjoy this site as it allows me to know about things related to Prince that I might not otherwise know, but on the other hand, I am really sick of all the JW talk. Get over it and let the music speak.

Right. You probably won't like the new NPGMC site either then.

why would it? | |

This site will NOT die, I'm absolutely sure.
I really doubt that the new NPGMC will still be active in 1 year. As soon as Prince gets a new idea how to get your dollars, this NPGMC concept will be dead.

Not to knock a site that's just starting and that still needs to develop, but the NPGMC's feel is very much like a bigger Princefam.com. Pretty much everything about it is borrowed at this point. The "Finally Free From Negativity" stance of some posters is not very attractive to me, especially since it's already manifesting itself as the familiar brand of dovey intolerance wrapped in all absorbent self-righteousness.

Wow, well expressed! I think that NPGMC have done a great job with the new site. I rarely visit it myself because it is a bit too graphics-heavy and it takes too long to find my way around it, but clearly a lot of work has gone into it and I wouldn't want to detract from that or the people that have created it. Yes, since it is the official site, and it provides features such as forums and chat (as the Org does) it is to be expected that some people will now divide their time between the Org and the NPGMC site. However I think there'll always be a place for unofficial and independent sites such as the Org.

Right on. I just can't deal with the slow forums, and I REALLY can't deal with long threads that are broken up into multiple pages. You just can't breathe in there. Fear is the mind-killer.

I did not join the Club, cause there is no value......
No music, no DVD, nothing special...hey knowledge, I study and am able to use the net, bibs and read books..it was fun to read commentaries at the old site...but the new one...no way...they can basically suck my ... . I mean it... I am going to buy the records I get a hold of and that'll be it...and go to concerts if there'll be any... The .org is the place to share views...not any censored forum on a official Prince-site...forget about that...I do not wanna join the church...christ said it is not where god is...remember...by the way the so called christian americans are somewhat ridiculous, the make war against freedom of sexuality, freedom of speech, freedom of living, and so on...I won't join... Long live the .org Peace and NO WAR! Juize, Hamburg Germany...

NPGMC is cool, but like someone else posted above me, they need to drop the 'I want Prince to notice me' talk.
The Org will ALWAYS remain my place of worship
