Anyone else thinking of leaving the org?

I thought this place would get to be more civil since Prince died but it seems to me that nothing has really changed. Still lots of negativity in most threads and then it turns personal towards a lot of orgers. If i need to read something to cheer me up this is the last place i come to now which is sad sad Anyone else feel like this or is it just me? Had a lot of things go wrong in my life the last few years with my wife passing away with cancer and with me getting depression which is debilitating. Hope i can come out of it the other side. Miss my friends here too but they seemed to have moved on too. Peace and love to ya'll. heart

Don't leave. We need to keep this place "alive", and we need to keep the kind folks here to balance the negativity. Sorry about your wife. That's a tough loss for sure. Take care of yourself.

The org has been great for me. I won't go into the details but over the part 5 years my life has been really terrible. My ex, who is a former member of the org himself, suggested I join up to take my kind off things and, in his words "stop being a miserable cunt". Since joining the org I've got to know a lot of great people and had some very interesting, and sometimes very weird, conversations. For me, the org has been better than any therapist. And now that my personal life is back on track, and I don't feel like I "need" the org anymore, I'm still not going anywhere because I like it here and I like the people here too. Sure, there's a lot of negativity here and oftentimes people can make it personal but the key is to avoid those threads and ignore the ones who make it personal. Just as you would in "real life".

Sorry to hear about your loss, Guitarhero. hug I've been through the same, I know how it feels and how much it hurts.
As for the org, it's been getting less interesting because we simply have fewer things to talk about. Prince is gone, so instead of bashing him, folks are now bashing the Estate. (Or Donald Trump on P&R which is also getting old.) But I'll hang around because every once in a while there's something interesting going on. Don't leave! Keep the music alive! headbang
