We don't have an official stance

In general, I don't think we have a problem with it, however of course we reserve the right to take action should an account become problematic.

For example, a person who never causes any problems having an extra account for a bit of fun is fine, as long as they aren't breaking the rules whilst going incognito.

On the other hand though, someone who has had their account deactivated for some reason or other can reasonably expect their other accounts to be banned too while the matter is being resolved. Also, if a moderator wishes to limit a user's "posting power" they may choose to deactivate some of their extra accounts for this reason, if that user has been a problem. For example, a problematic user who has a dozen different accounts and tries to spread the rule-breaking across multiple accounts so as to avoid getting in trouble will be dealt with appropriately of course.

Short answer: I don't think we have a problem with it, as long as it doesn't create problems. When it does, we sort it
