That is a great idea indeed and would certainly help the situation! RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

I think so too

I'm in total agreement: one thread where people can discuss his death. Keep it a sticky if you want but make it one thread only. And splitting Music & More into two separate sub forums might be a good idea so glad to see it's being discussed. What was the reasoning behind relegating PP museum opening and official tribute to lesser viewed forums? Paisley Park is in your heart

Mods, what do you think about locking a couple of the threads that are now 100% death talk, and guiding all death-talkers to one thread (this one: http://prince.org/msg/7/433457)?

there may be others... - (I also think splitting up the forums into "music" and "more" would be fine but as a relatively new member I have less historical knowledge about that issue) [Edited 10/10/16 6:28am]

The death speculation thread is on part 5 now. Whereas threads about the upcoming tribute events and PP museum have hardly any activity. Is all that people want to talk about these days death speculation? Paisley Park is in your heart

When Prince dies, you can hardly blame his fans for talking about it. And because his death came so unexpected, people will start looking for answers and create their own if they don't have any. It's human nature. And as for the music, let's be honest: there's not going to be new music to discuss. Ever. Again. We can only hope that the estate/family will release stuff from the vault but that too will be music from the past, no matter how good it may turn out to be. Until then, what are we going to do? Discuss his old albums, the name change, the JW conversion, the JB/Jackson guest appearance, the Make-Emancipation-One-CD game over and over again? That too will get old. I'm already noticing threads (Exodus vs Goldnigga for example) where I post a reply and think to myself, I've already said that somewhere else... The ugly little truth of the org is that after the initial shock of Prince's death is (for the most of us) over, all we can do is talk about things from the past.

I'm another person in complete agreement. For the most part, it may as well be called "Prince: A Smattering Of Music and A Load Of Bollocks." Pardon me.

. Yeah, and the bullying continues, and threads are being locked. . Not directed towards you, Mumio, but just saying.....If someone has an issue with a certain thread topic, why not just avoid clicking on it? Seems like a simple solution, to me. However; there will always be those who just want to argue, regardless of what topic it is.

. I agree. Some people are interested in different topics. Some people want to discuss Prince's death, and some people would rather discuss his guitar collection. I don't have an issue with either. Talking about a loss and searching for answers is just part of the healing process. Love for one another.
