Will Prince.org remain?

I really hope so. I've been a member of this site since back in the days before it was even a message board (remember when you could only reply to news items?)... It would be a great shame if this board closed.

The concert section is now, sadly, obsolete. Unless people are interested in the Prince-related bands and performers.

But I am certain there is a bright future ahead of us. The Vault(s) contain enough material to last our life times, so there will always be discussions about how crap or awesome the Vault releases will be.

I truly hope Ben et al keep the Org going. The last couple of days have shown how it has helped bring together the community with both old and new faces appearing.

Sadly the need to check in almost every day is now gone. No more rumours of a show or tour. No more craziness about trying to get or swap tickets. No more aftershow rumours. Damn damn damn.

I am worried about the Vault though. Who knows what Prince's Will has in mind for it. Even more worrying is whether it will be treated with appropriate respect rather than just exploited.

Clearly there are songs Prince intended to release one day or even whole albums. But equally there are pieces that were personal or he had no intention of sharing. While the fan in me wants access to everything, the human respect I have for Prince hopes that some stuff never comes out.
'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

Sadly, in this economy driven world, the answer to 99% of all life's questions is money. The Vault will be exploited to the last grain of human dignity.
