Perhaps a forum software like

Which has Facebook-like features that would be beneficial to the discussion

Example imagine people not losing track of the threads they've responded to because there's remindes when they are quoted and reminders or when someone responds to the thread. Or you can enable a "like" feature. Which will gives users a gratifying sense for their posts . . also a way of rewarding good posts.

And maybe a "private" section for paid members who donate or advertisements along the top to bring revenue in to mitigate the cost of the new forum software

Never gonna happen.

Been asking for years. Its not happening. Even something that is usable on a phone or could integrate with something like tapatalk would be nice.

Why is never going to happen? It would be very great for the site. Compared to other message boards this forum feels so manual. It's like I've gotta keep track of all my posts and their locations to see responses when we could have Facebook like alerts

Because the man that owns this site pays for it out of his pocket. And if that isn't enough, he operates under threat of lawsuit from Prince should anyone here post a link to bootlegs, etc.

So far, no one has stepped up to help fund this website's cost. Until someone does, what you see is what you get. Learn to love it, it's not going to change any time soon.

Several memebrs, myself included, have offered to do a redesign for free. But here we are, still learning to love 2005.

There is a section at the top right called "My Org" that will do that for you.
