We used to have a huge and fantastic Prince gallery, with dozens of pictures of him from every year.

Prince asked us to remove it.

What you see there in our gallery now is a fraction of what it used to be like.

^This. Which is one of several reason why I feel Prince, the person is a bit of an asshole. Also what he done to Uptown magazine. I'm sorry but he does repeatedly shits on his fanbase, which is why the bitterness towards him (from his remaining fanbase) is real. I say this so often about Prince, but it's wise to set your expectations on ultra low, when it comes to Prince.

To be honest, I don't even think he had anything directly to do with it, it was just lawyers being heavy-handed to show that they were "getting shit done" - as we all know, he's a man that likes results - and that's what they gave him. In doing so, the Org lost somewhere around 6,000 photos if I remember correctly. But hey, we weren't the only ones - HQ and other sites got hit and eventually shut up shop in that respect too sadly. I had stepped down from my Mod position for many months by that point and moved on to pastures new as it was just taking way too much time out of my life - it had become a monster if truth be told, but I was touched to get an email from Ben before it happened apologetically explaining what he had to do and why. Cool cat that Ben dude

It's on a 3tb hard-drive my friend. Last year I decided I may as well start putting it to good use now that social media affords me the opportunity to at least build something similar. I have a great little team of purple gophers who work behind the scenes to help keep things updated. It's just a place where Prince fans can hang, post stuff of their own and maybe see some stuff they've not seen before is all. Nothing more, nothing less.
