An ORG Celebration!

Isn't it about fucking time that WE celebrate prince.org...in an unapologetic...meaningful way? hmmm

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

This isn't an April Fool's joke, is it? lol

The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.

LOL! No. I'm quite serious. This place has been around for a long damn time. How many years, exactly I'm not sure but I know it's over 10 and I think that should be celebrated. Let's toss around some ideas.

Maybe we can all kick in a few dollars for an upgrade to site itself.

Maybe we could do like we used to and throw local Org parties. Oooh and for a new twist...Skype them.

I've thought for a while that the only way to ensure the survival of Prince.org would be to convert it to a formal charitable entity with its own endowment and a board of trustees. Otherwise, at some point Ben may just get fed up and stop paying the bills that he must be paying to keep the site going. Just look at what happened to MoQuake.

Interesting. I know I would hate to see the site disappear but I have no knowlegde of all that stuff maybe someone that does will chime in. I just want to celebrate the Org and have some fun.

How about we unban all the banned people and send them an invite to come back. That could be a whole lot of fun. lol

It's in such a shambles right now, I don't see any reason to celebrate it.

How does Ben keep this site going? I don't see any advertisements anywhere, does he just do it for the love of Prince or what?

That's even more of a reason to celebrate it. It's still here.

I can't speak for Ben but if I had to venture a guess, I'd say it's more for the love of the people that come here looking for information and camaraderie.

Well, how about the fact that it's (as far as I know) the only Prince-related site to survive his various temper-tantrums?

That's gotta be worth SOMETHING.
