What's the deal here? Isn't this the "other artists" forum? Why are people only allowed to post on ONE MJ thread that already has 95 posts?

Some people have slow browers making it difficult for them to scroll through 95 messages in order to respond.

Why is it okay to have THREE Madonna threads, but only ONE MJ thread is allowed?

I think it's great because the Language&whatnot has gotten way out of Hand.also there isn't a far balance.on the Madonna Thread's the Language is even out but on MJ things get way out of hand.anyway I'm glad they are on Lock because way too much garbage&things that don't have anything to do with MJ the Artist comes up far to much for my taste.

I don't understand why these threads are being locked? There's no fighting or flaming going on.

Could you believe duling MJ specials last night? Rerun of Living with MJ on ABC and the dateline NBC report. Add to that ABC covered MJ on 20/20 before the rerun and you have like 4-5 hours of Mike! Jesus H Christ! If this doesn't show you what a shark pool the media is nothing will. Once blood is in the water all bets are off.

But this forum has been bombarded with way too many Michael Jackson threads in here lately when all people need to do is post in a current thread and it would all be on topic, unless posting about the music and not his latest go-round in the media. I guarantee you if you read the MJ threads they're 99% about the same thing - his recent interview. I think the Jackson threads outnumber the Madonna threads (lately) by a much wider margin.

The reason is because people have been starting new threads unnecessarily.

It doesn't take a dozen threads to adequately discuss the MJ interview for example - it is better to have a handful of threads with some actual discussion than dozens of threads that are mostly empty.

There are enough MJ threads already, and they are starting to dominate the forum. Use the threads which already exist for a while, unless you have something which is a very different angle from the other threads.
