Why are threads expiring quickly these days. I thought it was supposed to be inactive for a couple of weeks or something.

I'm not sure I'd call that thread 'brilliant', but I too wonder why threads are locking so quickly.

It should be 90 days. Although your limit may be set lower to improve thread quality internet wide.

The thread was quiet for all of one week then it expired. It was less than a month old too.

I really enjoyed it, But it fizzled out quick

Thread life is about 2 months (60 days), whether active or inactive for any period of time, then it auto-locks. I've posted in threads up until the day it auto locked.

LOL..it was fascinating....but the short thread life leads to repeated threads too because I will want to talk about like the Cocteau Twins and Prince and it has already been talked about, but I can't respond to the thread cuz it's locked and then I start a new one and then people are like "this has already been talked about" ... a conundrum...

My favorite thing is when that brain stem of a moderator (you know the one ) locks a thread for being a dupe and links to an expired/locked thread from 6 months ago
