Marketplace rules May i draw peoples attention to this banner on the top of the marketplace forum......
Be advised that soliciting, requesting and/or offering unofficial albums and items for sale/trade is NOT allowed. Same goes for asking for copies of official albums and selling/trading/wanting copies of anything that was originally released through the NPG Music Club. Any posts made with offers for such items will be deleted on sight. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Is this rule regarding the selling of official NPGMC items now obsolete? As there were around a half dozen or so copies (that i noticed) of ONA Piano sold on that forum last year (mine included). And there seems to be other NPGMC items sold in the marketplace forum all the time.
I'm not complaining, i thought it was a pointless rule to begin with, but i was just wondering why it seems to have been fogotten about, maybe time to update the banners at the top of the page.

it relates to the download material, you can't sell copies of stuff downloaded and burned to disc. selling a copy of a pressed disc or other physical item from the official websites shouldn't be a problem
i've seen loads of people over the years ask for that stuff, which was available online only about 9 years ago, which is a scarey long time | |

^^ not entirely. more specifically it relates to the npg music cub membership agreement stating that any club material may only be used for personal, private, non commercial purposes.
UPDATE Sorry, no. According to Section I, "Club Content" of the NPMGC Membership Agreement: "Use of Club Content. All Content is owned by the Club and/or its Content providers and may only be used for your private, personal, noncommercial use. You are not allowed to make or transfer a copy of Club Content to someone else or use any part of the Content for any public or commercial use." Offering items received as part of your membership (including members-only retail items) are therefore not allowed in the prince.org Marketplace.
