I have been an orger for almost 8 years and I've NEVER learned how to make an avatar. And beside, I've had enough of using pics from Yahoo images. It's time for a change.

So what do you recommand?

Can't go wrong with Adobe Photoshop, where the sky (aka "Your Imagination") is the limit.

Photobucket can help you make any pic into an avatar.

note: images in this forum should be less than 15k....64x64 pixels..

just resize the picture you want to use. It's very easy and you can do it with MS Paint.

Thanks to everyone that have namechecked some softwares for me.

I notice that Linux Mint already includes GIMP. But I will also test out these softwares as well.

Yeah, read the helpful hints. Still can't figure out how to paste anything, like a photo link, in my posts.

Put your cursor right at the bottom edge of the pic you want to copy in photobucket.

A box will suddenly appear below. Put your cursor on the img code and left click.

The picture is then automatically in your cursor.

Come to the org and paste it in the post you're making, and voila! there you have it!

No need to put [img] brackets around it, as they're already included when you paste.
