day overall, seems a topic doesnt have the time to resinate

before it gets burried by new ones

i was involved in 5 yesterday that within 2 hours, i

I agree... some people start a new post everytime a thought pops into their head, regardless of whether they actually have anything to say or not

I think 4 is perfect. Limiting the total posts would only create a problem with folks seriously posting worthless stuff, lol...sometimes good threads come from the idea of another thread.

I just wish we had the option to delete a thread we started. But I do know what implications that has...

That all said, of course the GD forum is a "general bullshit" forum really so we're pretty tolerant. Apart from stuff that just plain breaks the rules, the only other stuff I have a problem with are posts that leave no room for discussion whatsoever, or attention-seeking stuff ("I'm Leaving I hate you all!" etc).

I usually use the 'hottest topics' (most recent) as my starting point, but most items seem to be 'general discussion', and crappy useless topics at that!
