Why can't I post to my thread? Planned obsolescence? Okay. This thread does not indicate that it's been locked, but I can't reply to it anymore. What's up with that? I mean...the last post was on September 1 - not that long ago.
We're always telling people to do a forum search so they don't repeat threads - and then it's impossible to reply.

After a while a thread will lock itself.
Mods cannot reopen those. Sometimes it's better just to create a new one. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS - Prince "I kind of wish there was a reason for Prince to make the site crash more" ~~ Ben |

It's not about the time of the last post, but the time of the first post. It's a systematic rule that was implemented years ago after weeks of folks flooding the front page of GD by posting on really old threads. I guess enough people found it annoying enough that this was implemented.
So yeah, in any case, there's nothing the mods can do about it. Feel free to start a new thread. |
