Please get an ignore option. Many other discussion forums have ignore lists in the profiles so that comments from posters you don't won't show up on your computer. I think a feature like this would really improve the flow of this site and prevent many arguments from happen.
Would it be possible that this site could get one?
or if you already have it how do you activate it?

I just use my eyes. If I see a post by [insert name here], I just scroll over it. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I didn't look at the above posts by [Efan and mcmeekle]. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Ex-Moderator | There currently isn't an ignore feature for the forums. You can block other people from sending you orgnotes if you wish, though.
This has been suggested over the years, but never been implemented. I believe some of the reasoning is that if anyone quoted them you'd see the text anyway, it could make the flow of the discussion read really strangely and because if most orgers have a certain orger on block, they may consistently break rules and not get reported. Or maybe it's just cause the site owner doesn't want to.
squirrelgrease's suggestion of simply ignoring the users you'd rather not read is a good solution. |
