i have been noticing alot in these threads that people have began to fight and argue more with others and im just sitting here thinking to myself does it really have to be this way? i thought we were one big happy community who all had one thing in common: we all love prince! and we all want to find whatever it is about him and were also here to talk laugh cry and joke around a bit so why the fighting??

i say we all get together and just celebrate princes legacy and have fun!

It was easier to love Prince (for the average listener) when he sang lyrics like "18 and over, I wants to bone ya."

Most people could accept that Prince, who was erotic, extremely sexual, etc.

But now, Prince has become more conscious in terms of his relationship to the environment, the food he eats, the stage of maturity/life he is in, his history as a human...

...this leads to seriousness, and most people cannot handle his expressions related to the above, or simply do not want Prince to be political (related to issues of power) at all.

Most of the time, the comments are personal shots at someone's grammar/spelling, or disagreeing with an opinion. Then the other person takes offense, and/or someone else jumps in to either add to it or defend the offended person, and a whole thread is derailed.

Some people don't know when to either. They will argue even if EVERYbody else on the thread is against them. They just love their opinions THAT much.

I always wonder what these people are like "in real life"- when they step away from the computer and have to interact face-to-face with others. It's easy to be bitchy on a keyboard hiding behind a monitor.

I have to say I mostly go to GD because sometimes the "Princely Love" over here just gets to be to much! I am a HUGE fan, I have never said one bad thing bout him... but im not gonna become celibate waiting for him to marry me!

I dont think they are "haters" per se..... I think he has pissed them off with some of his silly antics and maybe they are more "hurt" because sometimes it does seem like he hates his fans...Personally, he could tell me to piss off and id still be a huge fan of his music....not the man, but the music....
