I guess the fact of the matter is that the vast majority of Prince fans (or org posters) are also big fans of Michael, Madonna, etc. There aren't many of us that are into classic rock. And I would say that people that aren't Prince fans but still post on the org points out just how strong and magnificent the org is. They come here because it's the best! So, hat's off to Ben! | |

I admit I'm not crazy about the whole Michael, Mariah, Madonna and so on thing; it bores me to death, so I don't go further into those threads - at the end I just find myself answering Bowie threads and probably making me look like a bit of a  myself 
Actually I'm really tempted at starting an Iggy Pop thread - something so completely different to the whole thing on Music: Non-Prince, just to see if there is a bit of life beyond Lady Ga Ga. But then, is it worthy trying? Just wondering... . Lion -- Go Peter go!! | |

But then, is it worthy trying? Just wondering... . Of course it is!! There's always someone out there that's interested - it's just a case of timing, really.  It depends on whether fellow fans see the thread, whether they're logged on at the same time, if they're not in 'lurk' mode, etc.. There are so many factors... but if the thread bombs, well, it's no big deal in the grand scheme of things. 
If you think about it, most of us came here because we are, or were at some point, major Prince fans. So, in the Music & More forum, we ALL have something to add to a thread; or an opinion, at least. It depends on whether we post it or not. Same goes for GD - it can seem a little intimidating (or cliquey, to some people) at first; however, most topics we can all add something to. It's like sitting in the pub with your mates, talking crap.  (ONE reason I love it  ). In Music & More, however, the threads are very specific - and, sometimes, targeted at a particular type of fan/Orger. So the scope/range is limited. Again, it depends on whether fellow fans see the thread and so many different factors. So, in a way, out of the top 3 forums, the Music: Non-Prince isalmost the toughest one to crack. The way I see it, anyway. On the other hand, it's FULL of the most amazing, funny, knowledgable Orgers - that's the upside. 
So... try not to take it to heart.
