Yup Or want to respond to but don't, for whatever reason?? Nope - if I want to respond I do Or maybe there's a particular type of thread (say P&R-based) that you won't dive into? ~ I kinda have ta cruise into the P&R threads but like here in GD - yes- many I am not interested in even checking out Or maybe you stay way from an entire forum?? not really oops [Edited 8/1/09 7:43am]

also, the MJ R.I.P thread that was like 3,000 posts long kind of killed my interest/ability to go into that one and i haven't been in the new one now either. too many damn pictures, etc. i'm assuming that any news that i actually care about (like a new album, etc.) will get its own thread. I still run back and forth to that MJ thread but responding takes about ten minutes, it's so long... Stick to the Madonna thread. . [Edited 8/3/09 14:15pm]

Sometimes I just want to know whether they're taking the piss or if they truly believe what they're saying.....but I'm learning to restrain myself..but..it's..soo.....hard...not....to!!!!! Anyway, they do provide a good laugh though and it would be quite boring without those nutters. Btw... MacDaddy, I've been wondering... are you from the UK and moved to Amsterdam? Don't feel like that. How will people know what you have to say if you don't say it? Keep posting! Or start lots of Bowie threads - I'll be on them.

no, there isn't ... they make me laugh and to understand the human being: some are pure nonsense; other are inventions, like identity, story's ... and so one, masks... I analyse them as a sociologist and a therapist. there are a lot of suffering, anger and falsity in the threads. I'm able to detect some particular cases of great distress and madness, I'm not going to talk about them, we know it, too. Is not correct the attitude ... Sometimes I try to help with my posts, but we call me moralist ... so, what to do? nothing, but watching you and leave you with your pride and pains! BE HAPPY

No?? Even the Org interviews?! Or is it the threads about them you're not interested in? My respect for the has grown and grown over the last few years - they speak with such candour, and have so many interesting things to say/perspectives, I love reading their interviews. Plus, they sometimes have hilarious things to say about Prince. The last two interviews gave a fascinating glimpse into their dynamic/relationship. It was like watching two old friends of the family, at their place. Not two musicians who have sold millions of records and played to thousands of people. Honestly? I'm not that interested in them, and those threads don't excite me- esp. when people start acting like THEY invented PRINCE. I can't explain it- nothing against them, I'm just not feelin' them like that. "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

BE HAPPY First off, I dread to think what you make of my posts... You probably think I'm crazy. Secondly, that's why I call this place a 'soap opera' - it's a complete microcosm; it really is a slice of life. As a sociologist - and this is probably a BIG question - is there anything you'd say characterises a Prince fan?? Based on what you see here? And I don't know if that hug is for me or everyone in general... but thank you; I appreciate it. . [Edited 8/3/09 15:40pm]

Here's your chance to answer that thread/burning question/hot topic without having to go on the actual thread itself. Thread with stupid, ignorant, offensive titles I don't bother with. Threads that I want to respond to I generally do. Sometimes I just read a thread br if it's long enough I browse and may or may not comment. If it gets long, I assume it's gone off topic so I might visit the tail end then. IF the thread is beating a dead horse, no need to bother. I don't want you to think like me. If I want a thread to end up on page 2 I don't post even a since that will keep the thread on page 1. I don't post on any thread where the person that starts the thread puts absolutely no meat on the bone for other orgers to bite into. Are we suppose to flesh out their thread?

Well, I'm guilty of that sometimes - I'll get an idea, start a thread, won't have time to even put my OWN thoughts on it, and that's that. I try not to, these days. Hence me coming back to this thread.

I try to avoid the threads where an orger is spamming the thread with multiple nonsense posts full of commas smileys, princebonics and psychobabble about being Prince's soulmate. That kind of foolishness is disruptive and I don't know why it's allowed to continue. A few may think it's amusing but I doubt that the majority feel that way. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.
