Let's say there is a complaint or a slew of complaints regarding a thread. It will be investigated. Sometimes a thread has to be taken down so a moderator can review and assess the situation.
Sometimes after it's been cleaned up and is salvagable it gets put back up. Sometimes threads are so far gone it's beyond saving. Yeah things in the rules like name calling, baiting, flaming, homophobic comments, the N word, stuff like that tend to get snipped. [Snippy snip edit]

We were able to delete individual posts back when I was a mod. I am guessing that has not changed.

I only used it when people double posted That is the only reason I could think of to do that. Other than that the comment should be snipped if it is that bad. | |
