Having your account deactivated with no warning or reason. Having your account deactivated with no warning or reason.
Would it be possible for the mods to send an org note before temporarily deactiving access to the site. | |

We missed you Laura. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

----- Well I am glad you missed me However, it would be nice to have an answer from one of the mods concerning this issue. | |

This would be something you would have to take up with the mods via orgnote. Not sure if you had done this already but that would be the best way. | |

Would it be possible for the mods to send an org note before temporarily deactiving access to the site. All of our notices regarding "strikes" or snipped posts or rules being broken contain the warning that any future posts that break rules could result in your account being deactivated. Then, you are sent an email to the email address on file at the org when your account is deactivated, whether temporary or permanently. I believe we even tested it in the last few months to ensure it's working. (You're sent an email as if we send you an orgnote and deactivate your account if you're not logged in the second we send it, you won't see it anyway...) Did you receive the email? Do you know if the email address we have on your account is still current? I believe you can update it if needed... |

it would help if the email you sent actually explained why you were deactivated, especially when you've never received a warning, instead of a blanket "you violated the rules you agreed to on such and such a date".
it was also help if it was sent via the individual mod's org address rather than from a "noreply@prince.org" email. see also: http://prince.org/msg/3/312955 | |

Nothing is wrong with my e-mail address. I use it everyday and no e-mail or org note was sent to my attention.
You guys need to check your censorship issues and stop treating members of this board like people who were born yesterday. ----- luv4u said: CarrieMpls said: All of our notices regarding "strikes" or snipped posts or rules being broken contain the warning that any future posts that break rules could result in your account being deactivated. That really covers this. In addition, Mars is looking into the suggestions errant made in the other thread regarding notification, etc. Feel free to address concerns specific to your situation in orgnote. |
