Creating new topics

What do you think to making the ability to create new topics dropped to one a day?


I think it would really make people think about what they might want their one topic to be and make it a little more interesting.

maybe.

I noitce a lot of topics that are created to answer a post in another topic.


What do you think? I'd be happy with only one chance to create a thread. I'd deffinately want to make it more worth while!


The only draw back to this is that one could easily create a few other accounts to get around that.

I'm not saying that I have always created the most thought provoking threads on here, but I am saying that I've seen a lot of dribble.

I would love to see a limit on threads.
Fix those bastards.

Great idea but i think ppl would create aliases to get around the limit. I think there are way too many topics and the better ones--and the least sensationalist--go unnoticed.

That is already done. They do have a limit of one account per email address, however this still doesn't cut it.

With all the free emails, which can be created with any false information...it's too hard to control.

They already decreased the thread limits a few months ago before the GD opened again. I really don't think it's bad to have 4 per day per person. In the Subyduby days it was VERY NECESSARY, now it's not.

There has to be someway to weed out a lot of "I saw Prince on Jay Leno and that one line is all I have to say about it" threads.

I'd be fine w/ 1 per day The 4 thread limit makes it better, but there's still a lot of crap floating in the bowl...

shit, i almost never start topics anyway, so i could care less...

but honestly, some people are getting out of hand... there are people around here that will start 18 topics in one day on basically the same thing... and i don't mean several people starting 18 topics on the same thing... i'm talking about 1 single person starting 18 topics and basically pretty much saying the same thing...

i think it would improve the quality of the site...
