Does anyone else find this totally annoying?

If the thread is based on pictures, then fine (for example the 'Space' thread in the GD forum). But when it is just done for the hell of it (and we all know who the main offenders are), it annoys me to no end.

I'm just venting and wondering if anyone else feels the same. Especially those of us on slower connections.

I think the only recourse in this matter is to shame the person(s) at fault - because some people don't have a good enough grasp of the use of visual aids, the rest of us shouldn't be disallowed from such an option if we have more of a grasp of the appropriate.

Which, of course, begs the second thought: who's to say what's appropriate, what's funny, and what isn't?

When people post pics just to be freaks (without regard for any kind of redeeming context), I would hope that the moderators and "peers" would give the guilty parties a good talking to. If that doesn't work, weelll...

I admit to being one of the worst offenders, but I never post a pic for no good reason. It is always relevent for the sake of humor or to make a point.

By the way...

I just get annoyed with people who reply with quotes from someone who posted a picture then the picture will get shown like 2 or more times. I think for someone who wants to respond to the picture its ok to do that but remove that picture link so it doesn't keep showing up.

What bugs me is when someone post a nude or nasty picture without even giving a hint in the subject that it's nude or nasty. Is it to hard to put an "R" or say something in the title so the people that don't want that kind of pictures popping up will know not to click on it if they don't want to?

i have recently started posting pictures cos i only recently figured out how...they are usually in some way topic related..but i will take into consideration the fact that it is
annoying...

i'm not sure tho...what is an appropriate 'good reason?'
