Anxiety- Like your idea EXCEPT... I feel like i'm being punished to have to sift thru endless chatter on various never ending topics just to find out about the London concerts for MJ or what was said at the press conference.
Why should everyone be punished just because a few people are 'flooding' the forum? How about we put large topics alone and endless small chatter topics together? You should come here to destress not be stresed out- at least before we had a choice of which ones to click on. LOVE HARD.

You should come here to destress not be stresed out- at least before we had a choice of which ones to click on. the sticky threads are not forever. they're a way of handling an oversaturation of threads about one particular artist, which has been a problem in that forum for years. we will start this policy now, and if something just undeniably big comes up - if, say, MJ *does* actually announce forthcoming shows, then of course we'll want to create a new thread for that. NOT TEN NEW THREADS! *one* new thread. and when it seems like the catch-all sticky thread on a particular artist is drying up, we'll un-stick it, and we'll see if the amount of threads created on that artist can stay at a reasonable rate. if so, then we can have multiple threads on that artist. if not, then we create another catch-all sticky thread and no additional threads will be allowed. that's how it works. basically, if MJ fans want to have different threads to discuss different topics, they need to understand they have limitations and that they have to make responsible decisions or else make the best of the consequences. it's really that simple.

Actually,on that sticky, they're mainly discussing the tour.Just ignore the first few pages We wouldn't be in this situation if *some* of the MJ fans had shown a little restraint and didn't flood the forum.Last week,on one of the many MJ threads,I even warned the fans about the "MJ overkill" thread that was posted in this forum, but certain orgers still continued to post numerous MJ threads. It got to the point where the mods had to do something.

Many rules existing in this world had to be set up because people were not willing and/or able to handle certain things in a responsible manner without the rules. That's the way things are, I suppose.
