As much as I am irritated by the excessive amounts of threads for MJ and all, I do think a permanent sticky-type deal could be problematic as well.

First, it would detract from current stickies.

Second, it could get so long that it would be difficult to follow. The mods would need to really work with it to keep it viable.

Just saying.

Sub-forums might be nice but probably too much extra work for the mods.

My point with MJ threads is they usually cover the same ground:

1) Rehashed, repackaged material
2) Weird illness rumors
3) Plastic surgery
4) Little boy issues
5) Dove lady

A mod could pretty much put a sticky and replace it every week, and I don't think people would know the difference. At least Madonna, Janet and Beyonce have current events tied to their bashings. Michael's groove is but a rut, at this point.

And, please, do something about all the MJ Overkill threads. They're tired, too...

Could we make discussion of the J5 and Jacksons actual music exempt? I like nostalgic threads on their music.

Can do without 'current' threads on lazy, workshy MJ falling out of medical centres on a weekly basis.

It's a difficult situation though. where would it stop?, all the Debarge shit is far more annoying. For what they acheived, they simply do not warrant constant new threads.

And i can hardly visit the prince forum with all stupid, no 'compl3t3ly' stupid threads in there.

As has been the rule of thumb for me when it comes to boards, don't post on them. Let them fall to the bottom of the heap and be gone. If enough people did this with madonna, mj, debarge, and whoever else the people starting the threads would move on cause they aren't getting the satisfaction they crave.

Its pretty plain and simple.

The non prince music forum is sooo much better now its not under seige from one or two artists. I actually want to contribute again.

I still contribute to the likes of the MJ sticky, but its nice not to be swamped with everything MJ.

It was getting silly.
