I notice alot of straight up trolls on the org, since I got that strange orgnote. They are in all Princes girlfriend threads. HQ gave out warnings about trolling, provoking and off topic stuff and deleted accounts of repeat offenders. Cleans it up right away. I hope yall help some of us out when we get dragged into the drama.

Well what I loved about HQ is that they only allowed ONE USERNAME!! If they found out you had multiples those got deleted.

I think the ORG should enforce that to cut out the drama.

We don't allow trolling. We don't allow alter accounts either. We don't allow flaming and baiting. We don't allow racist comments and bootlegging. We don't allow A LOT of things.

Yet somehow they continue to exist. They will always exist. But we are diligent in our efforts to control, edit, censor, remove, delete, lock, and snip such. We only ask that you report said offenses so we can review them and make the necessary changes.

Thank you. Thank you very much. nod

Teacher

This is possibly, likely, actually, the most relevant thread created on the Org for quite some time. Unique rather rarely contribute in the forums but this is one of THE best questions ever and most people want to make it the Org against HQ. The fuck is wrong with y'all?

I don't think their forum had anything notable that we don't have here, but they had some very informative pages, like a list of Prince's tour dates and a fantastic discography. sad

I truly think it is a matter of what you are used to. I used both sites back in the day, and I just prefferred HQ, one thing were the emoticons, (sounds lame but there it is) HQ doesn't have a heap of color and emoticons and that suited me.
I think if i got to know people through Org instead of HQ i would have settled here.
I guess HQ did seem more serious, they really came down hard on "nonsense threads" like what undies does Prince wear etc, whereas I feel The Org tolerates more of that kind of thing, although i may be wrong.

Anyway the org has been here for a long time so good for u guys!! smile

HQ got news faster and it seemed like there was a wide variety of "real" fans there of all ages and nationalities. It was very organized. Especially when it came down to the trading and taping of unreleased Prince music. When it had the videos and pictures, I thought they could have almost charged a membership fee -it was so good.

You see, that's exactly HQ's problem. Prince has every right to shut it down when it is an organisation that offers a trading and taping place of unreleased music, video's and pictures.

All unauthorised.

Whereas this thread shows org members as 100% innocent when it comes to trading boots - http://prince.org/msg/7/301565?&pg=1

Just because people talk about boots - it doesn't mean that the fan websites tolerate or promote such activities.
